In August 2014, using pen and pencil, I drew one photo each day from New York Times headlines, with the associated photo caption written underneath. With hindsight, the drawings seem to offer a window into a bellweather moment - from Russia invading Crimea, to concerns of Ebola's deadly spread, ISIS beheadings and protests in Ferguson in the wake of the killing of Michael Brown.
